The scuttlebutt is that Lake Louise in Banff is "the most beautiful place on earth" or "one of the most beautiful places on earth." It is very pretty with snow capped mountains and a tranquil, turquoise lake. There is a short 2 km walk along the shore which Mary and I took. The day was beautiful, bright sunshine and very comfortable temperatures. We enjoyed our visit which was a peaceful interlude in what was otherwise a rather stressful day. It just did not make my "most beautiful place on earth" list. Here are some photos -- you decide.
