Turtle Patrol

This week is the start of "sea turtle patrol" at Emerald Isle beach shown above at sunrise. Volunteers, including me, walk the beach each morning looking for signs of sea turtle nesting. Later comes nest monitoring, if you are lucky witnessing the nest boil, and nest excavation. A great excuse to be on the beach at sunrise!
